Drawing: Abstract Architecture

Use lines, shapes, value and patterns to make abstract architectural drawings with conté crayon.

More details

This workshop will use the theme of architecture as a source for drawings with conté crayon. In the first exercise students will use the architectural structure of a room and then develop it into an abstract composition. The second exercise involves creating an abstract cityscape with rectangular shapes that evolve into building-like structures. You will learn why black conté crayon is an excellent and easy-to-use drawing material, especially because of its ability to create velvety rich black tones. Suitable for all levels. See supply list.
