Biography
Mohsen Veysi is an artist, researcher, and educator with over 10 years of teaching experience. He has a BFA and MA in Visual Arts from the Academia di Belle Arti of Florence, an MFA from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a PhD in Humanities with a focus on art history from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. He has a passion for poetry, philosophy, and art history, which is evident in his work that integrates visual and verbal elements. His research explores various facets of art history, with a particular focus on the intersections of drawing, Persian calligraphy, and poetry, as well as the symbiotic relationship between image and text. As an instructor, Veysi engages students from diverse backgrounds, employing a student-centered approach that prioritizes self-discovery. For Veysi, teaching serves as a way to foster artistic expression encouraging students to articulate their own perspectives through visual mediums.
