Supply List - Collagraphs: Textural Exploration in Printmaking PRNTs205-18

- inexpensive natural hair brushes (available at a hardware store); buy few brushes of different widths (1/4", 1/2", 1", etc.)
- 2 round stencilling brushes for inking the collagraphic plates.
- old toothbrush
- small bottle of Stevenson's Impasto Gel
- small bottle regular Matte gel medium
- small bottle regular Matte medium
- Rives BFK and Stonehenge paper sheets or buy in a pad
- x-acto or snap off blade knife
- palette knife
- old credit card or bondo speader
- plastic spatula
- 2 rolls of blue shop towels
- cotton rags for clean up
- 2 or 3 old bath towels for drying paper
- HB & 2B pencil & sketchpad
- notebook & pen
-green rubber nitrile gloves found in the printmaking section at OPUS.
- portfolio: cardboard folder to carry paper and finished work in.
- 3 rubber brayer
- archival printmaking blotters 3-4 (Opus)
- pad of Newsprint 18x24 - at least 25 sheets
- metal ruler
- green or blue Painter's Tape 1 roll of 3/4 or 1/2
- Plexi-glass plate for rolling ink onto (8" x 10" or 12" x 14" approx) found in framing section of Opus or at Industrial Plastica.
- Q-tips
- wooden chopsticks to draw with
- objects with rigid textures such as corduroy, bubble wrap, toothbrushes, texture combs, wire brushes, corrugated cardboard etc.
- any flat objects that have texture such as dried plant matter & leaves, string, mesh from onion bags, textured paper, dried eggshells, aluminum foil, crumpled metal objects, textured plastic packaging etc.
