Supply List - Painting with Acrylic Skins PNTGw102-12


- Acrylic paint; complete range of colour. If you need to buy include black, titanium white, red, yellow, blue, acrylic fluids work well but heavy body paints are good too. Bring both to see the difference.
- Zinc white- absolutely
- Bushes of your choice. Include large 2-3
- Lots of gloss and matt medium; any brand
- Option- GAC 500 for very transparent gloss skins
- Soft Gel matte- 237 ml or 1/2 this if you can get it.
- Stir sticks (popsicle sticks) or a few palette knives
- 4-6 putty knife or piece of cardboard for levelling paint
- Rags or paper towel
- Small disposable cups; at least 6
- Nonstick palette to make skins- cheap option is freezer paper (with plastic coating).-not Parchment paper or wax paper.
- Disposable palette paper or thicker non wrinkle plastic works well. I will bring plastic for you to try.
- Hard edge ruler
- Scissors
- Exacto blade
- 2 - 4 gessoed panels Suggested sizes:
- abstract grid at least 12 x 12
- for landscape at least 16 x 20. Choose a landscape size that appeals to you.
- Paper to cut paint and collage- magazines will also be available for your use
- Watercolour Paper or paper that will handle acrylic paint the same size as your landscape support.
- Photo reference that has a horizon line
