Curatorial Studies II (CURA 306)
The second part of this course focuses on developing the curatorial project begun in Curatorial Studies I. Emphasis is on writing about the artists in the form of short essays as well as creating promotional materials to accompany the
exhibition such as a press release and poster. Students will install exhibitions in the Slide Room Gallery as an ongoing part of this course. The course will culminate with an exhibition of the curatorial project in the Slide Room Gallery in March.
Curatorial Studies I and II will prepare students for exhibiting and installing their own work, as well as organizing, facilitating, and curating a professional gallery or museum art exhibition. Pre-requisite: Curatorial Studies I or permission of
